Welcome to the Golf Club in Christnach, now known to this day as the Petite Suisse Country Club.
Located in the charming town of Christnach, at the heart of the Mullerthal region often nicknamed the Little Switzerland of Luxembourg, the Christnach golf course is a favored destination for golfers of all levels. This technical course is ideal for beginners eager to learn golf or for experienced players looking to refine their short game.
The golf adventure began here in 1987 under the guidance of Claus Uwe Leske, a graduate engineer and hotelier, who passionately designed this place. Over the years, the club has evolved, adding a wooden clubhouse in 1991 and joining the Luxembourg Golf Federation (FLG) in 1993, thereby enriching its offerings with complete training facilities.
The continual expansion of the club saw the addition of holes 10 to 18, the Sealandcourse, in 2001, enabling the club to position itself as a venue for major competitions. By 2014, the club had 1,100 members, demonstrating its popularity and commitment to the golf community.
However, in 2019, the club was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, which affected its operations for two years and the club’s social life. Furthermore, the operator of the Grand Hôtel des Cascades, associated with the golf course, fell into insolvency, marking a difficult period for the club.
In 2024, a new era begins for Christnach golf with the arrival of Mr. Patrick Leske, an engineer and entrepreneur, who takes over the reins of the club. Under his leadership, the club undergoes significant renovations, including the clubhouse and restoration of the course, and embraces modernization through digitalization. These changes reflect not only an adaptation to new technologies but also a desire to meet modern expectations.
As part of this transformation, the club was renamed „Petite Suisse Country Club“ in tribute to the picturesque region of Mullerthal. This new name symbolizes the natural beauty of the site and the club’s ambition to position itself as a place of prestige and innovation in the field of golf.
The Petite Suisse Country Club continues to be a place where tradition and modernity meet to provide a golfing experience for all who pass through its doors.
